Aloha.

Tropical paradise?  Yes, that describes Maui well.  I was there earlier this year to attend a wedding, and had plenty of time to explore.
I was a little disappointed in the selection of cards, but found one series I liked. This is one of those, it's nice enough, tells the story, or reiterates the stereotype. The card I liked best was in a bid set of 10 with 9 cards I really didn't care for, so I went without.

A friend was saying they never received a card from Maui, so she's getting this one a couple of months late.

Reproduction postcards

I found this delightful set of reproduction postcards in a Lace Museum in Berkeley CA.

There is no printing on the rear to indicate either the original publisher, or reproducers, so I have to wonder at the legitimacy of the reprint.  I am sure some copyright is being infringed upon.  The postcards do have the unusual quality of being printed on both sides, but the rear is simply printed to look like aged paper.

They had about 30 designs available, but these are the three that appealed to me most.

I can't think who else would appreciate them, so the are probably going to stay in my collection.

Alex O'Donnell: I was out shopping for lace making supplies when I found these delightful reprint cards at Lacis, a needlework shop and lace museum.

Croyde Bay and old boat

I have my sister to thank for this delightful card.  Apparently it sat in her desk for 8 years before she used it as a cover note for my birthday present.

Ferry Cross The Mersey

Post early and post often

For forty years or more I have been collecting postcards, and I haven't stopped yet.  Rather than have them all stuck in a box which I rummage through once a year, I've decided to share the collection with one and all.  I might actually send some to friends, after all, isn't that the real use of a postcard?

I'll try and get the front and back, and tag with location and publisher, hopefully then I can find the postcards I like and see them more often.
